We try to get into the sea most weekends throughout the year, when the tides and winds allow! When the weather doesn’t allow sea diving, we have several inland dive sites which can be dived in almost any state of weather. Diving takes place either at various locations around West Wales including Skomer, Skokholm, Milford Haven, the south coast including Torquay, Plymouth, and further afield within the UK such as Cornwall, Scotland etc. We like to keep things varied!
In addition to regular UK diving, we often arrange at least one club abroad trip each year. The Red Sea is a favourite but this could also include other locations such as Malta, Canary Islands, Maldives etc.
Separate to the diving, we typically meet monthly for a social get together, varying the location around the wye valley area.
Membership Costs 2024/25
As a BSAC affiliated Club all our members must be members of BSAC. The cost of BSAC membership starts from £33.00* depending on age and experience. There are discounts for households with more than one member.
In addition to the annual BSAC membership fee is our annual branch levy which is £30.00.

Wye Valley Scuba branch levy is set annually at our annual general meeting, typically held in March.

By becoming a member of our club you will have access to some great diving opportunities and onward training. Our club has some basic scuba kit (Regulators, BCD’s, Tanks, Weights, Dive computers) that as a member, you are welcome to borrow on club dives before you purchase your own equipment. This equipment is well maintained and available to use at no additional cost. In fact we have everything to get you diving except a dry suit or semi-dry suit!
