Rec & Tec Diver Training

Whether you are a newly qualified diver or you are honing your skills towards ‘Advanced Diver’ or beyond, our instructors are here to help.

We are part of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) and therefore all of our training is delivered under the BSAC’s diver training program.  As all our instructors are volunteers, our training is very cost effective with each new qualification. Divers from all other diving agencies are very welcome to join Wye Valley Scuba and crossover training and further progression is available, or you can simply dive within the limits of your existing qualification.

Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer entry level (beginner) diver training. However, if you are a SCUBA novice and reading this fear not. We can put you in touch with local commercial centres or alternative BSAC branches to complete your entry level SCUBA certification such as BSAC Ocean Diver, PADI Open Water Diver, SDI Open Water Scuba Diver etc. Once you have this you can join our branch and enjoy diving with us. Once you have your entry level qualification we can progress your training further within the BSAC Diver Training Program.

We have a team of qualified instructors and provide instruction across the following diver training grades:

BSAC Advanced Ocean Diver (maximum depth 30m)

BSAC Sports Diver (maximum depth 35m)

BSAC Dive Leader (maximum depth 50m)

BSAC Advanced Diver (maximum depth 50m)

We can deliver almost all of the BSAC syllabus – including BSAC skill development courses (SDC’s) through our own branch instructors. SDC’s allow you to learn new skills not covered in the diver training grades, or develop existing skills further. We also have access to all courses run nationally through BSAC’s regional training teams.

Our instructor team ranges from assistant instructors through to BSAC Advanced Instructor. We also have an BSAC instructor trainer within our branch. For those looking to develop into instructors, or continue their instructor development we can support your goals. BSAC Instructor Courses

As with all of our diving, safety and quality are the main priority’s in our training. Instructor standards are maintained, instructors keep current and up to date. All our training is in-line with BSAC safe diving practices.
